Gig Dental

Role: Founder & Creator

Year: 2024 - Present

Gig Dental began as a personal portfolio-builder, just a concept. My research for this project began in 2008 when I started my career as a dental hygienist. I’ve spent years listening to my co-worker’s frustrations, oftentimes I’m experiencing them with them.

My discovery phase began in July of 2023 when I finished my certification in UX/UI, starting by throwing spaghetti at the wall brainstorming problems that I know that need solving. The staffing crisis in dentistry was glaring right at me every time I looked for my next temp gig online.

Iwas really one I shared with my target audience regularly. that interviewing dental professionals more formally on

That said, after conducting in-depth one-on-one user testing (with my working prototype) and using my experience of 17 years in dentistry, it became clear the platform filled a real need. I designed and am building it to support dental professionals through the platform’s intuitive user experience, community connection, and resource sharing.

“Her ability to translate ideas into high-fidelity prototypes using Figma demonstrates her attention to detail and commitment to perfection. Her designs are not only visually appealing but also functionally efficient, resulting in a product that is highly intuitive and user-friendly. I wholeheartedly endorse Michelle and am confident she will continue to excel in her future endeavors. Bazar was fortunate to have her on board, and I am sure any team will be equally fortunate to work with her.”

“Michelle was selected as one of the student speakers for the grand opening event of the Career Coaching and Employer Connections (CCEC) office at Ivy Tech Indianapolis. I coordinate this event and was able to work with Michelle closely on preparing and executing her speech. She consistently provided very clear and concise communication regarding the speech and event details, came prepared to practice sessions, and provided one of the most heart-warming speeches I have ever heard. She has a very natural gift for speaking to large crowds in a motivational manner, while keeping the stories she's telling very realistic. I received multiple comments from attendees about how well-performed Michelle's speech was. I would highly recommend her for a future speaking engagement!”
